I think it had something to do with how happy and relaxed his parents are, and how truly happy they are that he is in their life.

Wow, he's a cute little guy! I love the photo with mom and baby together. :)
Wow this is a really cute baby, I adore the picture of the parents with the baby, it looks so genuine!

Definitely my favourite shot of the day.

I love how he's looking up at them in this series.

And I love it when babies have beautiful old faces

As much as I enjoy my role as baby whisperer and photographing curled up sleeping babies, I always love the images of the new family all together. There's just something about how tenderly a new parent holds their babe and how lovingly they gaze at him (or her).

Oh Jenn, these are just beautiful. I love the ones of the 3 of them. Wish we had some like that when our babes were born.

I love the photo on the left, with the logs and pine cones. What a great idea to use that part of their house! And mom looks so happy in the other photo. Just so content holding her baby. :)
oh these are so precious. what a doll!

This is one of my favourite series ever. Beautiful smiles from both mom and babe and one very happy family.

Jenn, these are so gorgeous! It's SO good to see your photos on the blog again.
Beautiful photos! I bet they just love them!!
Not sure what I'm talking about?
For the 5 days leading up to my new website launch, I gave you my top 5 reasons why you need a portrait session this summer. Now I want to hear from you.
Let me know why your family needs to have a portrait session with me this summer. The winner will receive a complimentary portrait session with me this summer and an 11"x14" wall print from the session. My panel of judges will look through all the entries and choose their favourite.
Email your entry to jenn@jenndispirito.com
with "why I need Jenn to photograph my family" in the subject line.
I've had some great entries so far; I'm glad I'm not the one who's going to be judging them! Keep them coming!

Oh my, that photo is priceless! She is SO cute. Can I enter? Will you come to Calgary to photograph my fam?! ;)
I hope you're going to blow that up BIG and hang it in her room. Precious!!!

I finally got a chance tonight to edit a few more from Grace's "newborn" session. She was 9 pounds 15 ounces at birth and she sure doesn't look like a newborn in some of them! And while we do have some snaps of her in the first couple weeks, I wasn't feeling up to pulling out all my newborn stuff until she was 2-1/2 weeks old.

The best time for newborn images is really around the 5 day mark. Other photographers had told me I should get someone else to do my newborn photographs but I foolishly ignored them thinking I could do it all myself. Silly really, since my favourite images from client sessions are always the one with the newborn and his or her parents. And, of course, I can't do those myself. :)

These are awesome, Jenn! You still got some amazing photos of her. I wish I would have had someone come take photos for me too - I totally regret it.
She is so adorable!
I'll post her birth story in a few days (less the graphic details) but, in the meantime, here is our beautiful Grace at one month old.

She has the most gorgeous baby leg chub ever!
A few things I want to remember about one month old....
- she already weighed over 11 pounds
- we were getting our first smiles
- the baby acne was fading
- if we were lucky, a 4-1/2 hour stretch between night-time feedings, if not then 2-1/2 hours
- the way Angelo would say "it's okay Grace, it's okay" in a high-pitched voice when she cries
- the leg chub, of course
And with this post, the blog is no longer a ghost town. I'll be back to regular posting from here on in. Thanks to those who stuck with me through the blogging hiatus. :) My schedule will open for new client bookings when my new website launches on Monday June 7th at 9AM. Watch for details in the next couple days.
She's adorable Jenn! Glad you're blogging again - I'm looking forward to seeing many more pictures of Grace (and her big brother of course!).
She is so beautiful, Jenn. I just adore her name and those little leg rolls. I hope you are all well. Thinking of you!
